In 2004 Headshaker Sportfishing LLC was created by Capt Jerry Sondag. Based in Western Minnesota he spent half the year focused on muskies and bass, and the remainder of the year, spent his time fishing the multitude of species that swarm the inshore and offshore waters from Florida to Australia. Soaking up the many techniques and tricks along the way. Jerry has come to utilize the extensive knowledge on every trip.
The last decade Headshaker said farewell to the freshwater, and relocated permanently to the Florida Keys. Islamorada is where we call home, guiding full time, year round. The Boat
When you fish with us, you'll be fishing in comfort aboard a spacious and stable 24' bay boat / open fisherman hybrid from Xplor Boatworks out of South Carolina. The boat is a 2021 and is hull #1. It's powered by a Mercury 300 Pro XS and is outfitted with Simrad electronics, a Minnkota Trolling motor and a pair of Power Pole Shallow water Anchors. You'll be able to fish shallow enough to look for bonefish on the flats, or the winter chop on the patch reefs. Time to get on board!

2 Hour Captains Choice $550 (Catch&Release)
Great for beginners, children, Challenged, or people pressed for time. ROD BENDING.
4 hour Half Day Trip $750
Great for inshore and close backcountry.
6 Hour 3/4 Day Trip $950
ideal trip for those looking for that illusive bucket list fish or looking to try a couple different things.
8 Hour Full Day Trip $1200
Perfect for covering water. Again if you're looking for bucket lists, cooler filling, or just time on the water, this one has you covered.
All prices are for 1-4 guests and are subject to change. 2 & 4 hour trips can be arranged from sun up to sun down. The 6 &8 hour trips are morning start unless approved by the captain at booking.
Prices do not include a recommended 20% minimum gratuity for the captain.

Spring Tarpon
From March to July our main focus is on one of the greatest gamefish that swims, the Tarpon. this time of the year the migration pours through the keys and gives us our best opportunity for that monster fish of a lifetime!
Shark Trips
One thing the Keys never has a shortage of... SHARKS. We have many clients that are looking to pull on some of the largest and aggressive predators known to the keys. There are a wide array of species to target in the areas we frequent.
